On the basis of 22 loci, coding allozyme diversity of the 13 enzyme systems (MDH, SKDH, 6-PGD, IDH, GOT, LAP, PGI, FDH, PGM, GDH, PEPCA, G-6PD, SOD), the values of the main parameters of genetic variability of Siberian larch were established. Seeds and vegetative buds collected from individual trees in eleven populations of this species introduced: from Taimyr peninsula («Gorbiochin», «Sukharikha», «Irbo»), Central part of Krasnoyarsk Territory («Uzhur 1», «Uzhur 2», «Eniseisk», «Irbey»), Evenkia («Vanavara») and from Tyva Republic («Balgazyn», «Chadura», «Ak-Dovurak») were used as à material for investigations. The studies were conducted by method of horizontal starch-gel electrophoresis. As results of studies conducted it was established that about 32% (P95 = 31.82%) of the gene-enzyme loci assayed are polymorphic in the populations of larch. The mean number of alleles per locus (A) is 2.27, the effective number of alleles (ne) is 1.18. The average values of observed and expected heterozygosities are 0.092 and 0.099 respectively. More than 93% of the total variation resided within populations and only 7% of the variation distributed among populations (Fst = 0.0673). The mean genetic distance D between populations calculated on the basis of allelic frequencies 22 isoenzyme loci ranged from 0.0010 to 0.0215 and equalled on the average 0.0084. The obtained estimates of D are indicative of a low level differentiation in L. sibirica populations studied. It was established that populations situated at Taimyr peninsula were more differentiated (D = 0.0183). The study is supported in part by the projects ¹ 76 of the SB RAS, by Russian Fund of Basic Research (¹ 08-04-00034, ¹ 08-04-90001, ¹ 09-04-98033).
